Maharashtra / MP border Dhule Highway Project (NH-3)

  • Four - lane 89 km toll road project on the Maharashtra - Madhya Pradesh border connecting Mumbai and Agra, largely serving industrial traffic
  • Primary conduit for passengers as well as freight from UP to major towns in MP and Maharashtra
  • Expected commissioning 3 months ahead of schedule in 2012; investment of Rs.1,420 crore
The project road is part of NH-3, commonly referred to as the Agra–Mumbai road, originating from Agra and ending at Mumbai in Maharashtra. It is a primary conduit for transportation of passengers as well as freight traffic from the state of Uttar Pradesh to major towns in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. In FY09, NHAI awarded the development of four - lane highway from Km 168.500 to Km 265.000 on the Maharashtra/MP border to the Consortium of HCC Concessions, John Laing LLC and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd. on BOT (toll) basis. The concession period is 18 years, including a construction period of 30 months.
